Our First “Tipped” Screenings

Going into this unique form of distribution has been somewhat like navigating on a curvy road through a snowstorm. We know that other filmmakers have paired with “On Demand” movie theater distributors in the past and had mixed results. When you decide to put your movie out this way, you are truly having to rely on the fans of your film and have to figure out how to motivate them. We’ve worked very hard to cultivate our fan base over... Read More

Trailer Premiere at DCE Championships

When the words “drum corps” are read or heard, many people think of DCI (Drum Corps International), which holds nearly all of it’s events within the United States, but drum corps is not unique to America. There are drum corps and variations of the drum corps concept in Indonesia, Japan, Canada, and South Africa (just to name a few). Shifting to Plan C

We have made tremendous strides since July on the music licensing portion of our filmmaking process. Our music supervisor has been in the trenches negotiating deals to keep our costs low on the sync rights for our drum corps movie. Most of the agreements were secured when we received the news that we weren’t going to get the rights to one of the songs…probably the biggest song in the movie. We knew that this song (performed by the Madison... Read More

BATTLE OF THE DECADES!

Which decade of the Madison Scouts is the best? Both alumni and fans of the corps have very strong opinions. That’s because they are very passionate about the activity and there’s nothing wrong with that. We’ve decided to pin the different decades of the corps (alumni & fans) against each other to see which one can get a popular Madison Scouts song that appears in our movie funded the fastest. The race started on August 13th... Read More
