FLY Film Festival

FlyFestivalWe are excited to announce that our drum corps movie will be screening on Friday, August 1st at the FLY Film Festival in Downtown Enid, Oklahoma! Not only are we thrilled to screen the film in front of a new audience, but it’s also a chance for us to meet other filmmakers who have been spending months and years getting their projects to this point just like we have. This is a terrific opportunity to expose more people to not only the Madison Scouts, but the subculture of drum corps that we know and love.

It turns out that one the special guests at the FLY Film Festival is documentary director/producer Cassie Jaye. Mac worked on the sound for Cassie’s film “The Right to Love: An American Family”, and Cassie has been very supportive of “Scouts Honor: Inside a Marching Brotherhood” from the start. Cassie is also responsible for putting us together with Nathan Haugaard who shot all the Glidecam work for our documentary feature.

The film will screen on Friday, August 1st at 3pm at the Gaslight Theatre (Main Theatre) at 221 N. Independence, Enid, OK 73701. There will be a second screening on Saturday, August 2nd in the Turpin Theatre at 6pm.

If you live in Oklahoma or Kansas we would love to see you at the festival, or if you know someone that lives nearby please tell them about our screenings.

Thank you!

The Scouts Honor Team

If all goes as planned, we will be making the trip from Wichita. I am so excited to see it! Hopefully it will screen at Tallgrass too so I can get more of my people to come out.

Just wondering, do I have to buy passes for the entirety of the FLY Film Festival or am I able to just get passes for this movie in particular? Thanks!

There’s a one day pass that you can purchase for the FLY film festival. They’re calling it the “Cliffhanger” pass.
